Analysis of Colour against Counterfeiting and fraud

Criminals today have become increasingly sophisticated in their methods and targets when it comes to crime. With the wide availability of technology to the average Joe, fraud and counterfeiting problems are increasingly rife, with fakes becoming more difficult to identify. In the UK, central and local government has already begun to rethink its approach in bringing this new age of criminal to justice, with varying success. Working with local trading standards and the UK Border Force, HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) was successful in seizing an estimated £70 million in intellectual property (IP). While, Huntingdonshire District Council used Ordnance Survey data to track council tax fraud, which resulted in over 750 properties being identified that had not paid tax and helped the council to increase revenue by £180,000.
